About The Album

On Jan 26, 2015, my father Darryll "Skip" Ramsey Sr. was diagnosed with bone cancer. After 20 plus years of kidney failure and a kidney transplant, walking by faith was the norm. So when this storm rolled in, he only did what he knew to do: Walk by faith.

He and the family selected several passages of scripture to pray and meditate on through this time.

In The Word

The Lord encouraged me to put the scriptures to music and gave me songs to coincide with them. Two weeks later, I went in the studio with friends and "Strength Through the Storm" had begun. The recordings, originally, were to encourage the family and to be played in times when the scriptures could not be read. It was shared with other family and friends and found to be a blessing to others as well.

In The Studio

I later went back in the studio to clean up the songs a little in preparation for a release. The scripture portions were minimally touched to keep the authentic sound and spirit that was strength to my family during that time.

As it has blessed my family through and after our storm, may it bless you as you go through your own. Remember God's word and promises. May it bring you comfort in affliction, joy in times of sorrow, strength in weakness, and grace to endure.
